The facilitator for the Tuesday Bereavement Group always plays a music track to open the session after the candle lighting.
I burned a couple of CD’s for the two facilitators from line dance music I had around on my hard drives. I have yet to listen to the whole CD without tears. The facilitators said it has the same affect on them. There were 12 tracks including Adele’s Make You Feel My Love that I had used at the funeral. Here’s a selection of others:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSXdYPSqsOc It Hurts. Superficially this could just be a break-up but the many things suggest this is not the case. Crying the person’s name from a rooftop. Thinking about them in the middle of the night. Looking for someone to blame.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNTdL1IUi_Y It is You I Have Loved. From Shrek. An emotional track though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU61Ipxny64 How Come the World Won’t Stop (Click the Anastacia link if you want to hear the whole track) Really such a sad song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEXMCEFdNMA Christina Aguilera – Hurt. More like someone who had lost a parent but the same emotions.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MznC6Qlc32I Now That The Love’s Gone. Somehow I see a vision of a sad man sitting in an empty grey room with a wooden chair and table with only a gun on the table. Listen to his plea at the end of the song.
PS that’s not me

Hi Robert
I was just reading your blog. I hope you and family are keeping well. Everytime I get together with the dancers (Anne, Cristina, Manfa, Jeanette, Mary, Yvonne), we still talk about Carmen.
All the best, Robert.
