Hello there. My name is Carmen Mah. I was born in the country of Trinidad and Tobago. Guess what, there are 2 main islands, the larger island of Trinidad and the smaller island of Tobago. There are a few extra little islands too, more like big rocks in the sea. For those of you who may not know, Trinidad is the southernmost island in the chain of Caribbean Islands, and is just off the northeast tip of Venezuela, South America.
I came to Canada many moons ago, a bit colder up here, eh? I finished High School in Toronto and did a degree in Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, Ontario – so long ago it seems like the dark ages!! Anyway, my husband, Robert, and I met at UW during our very last semester and have been together ever since. We have 3 children, 1 boy, 2 girls. We now live in Toronto.
In the fall of 1996, I signed up for a weekly Country Line Dance class. After a year or so I started going to various other classes and I was ‘hooked’ on Line. I enjoy attending dance events as time… and $$…..permit.
I started teaching in 2000….. or was it 2001? My classes are New Beginner to Advanced, all Line Dance. I use a variety of music in all my classes, teaching different rhythms. (See the Classes page for my present schedule.)
Besides teaching line dancing, I do freelance bookkeeping/accounting. Contact me if you need some work done!! J I also enjoy reading and gardening, though I’m a bit restricted since I became highly allergic to bee stings.
See you on the dance floor!!
